La Mexicana Food Products has been in the
fresh produce business for 50 years.
Our salsa producing operations began in 1982, at a time when there was no standard for "fresh
salsa." We set that standard, and have continued to this day.
La Mexicana Fresh Salsa uses only fresh vegetables. No ingredients are cooked, canned, dehydrated, or frozen. Every order is made fresh upon receipt, and every cup is hand-packed to the rim.
La Mexicana Fresh Salsa does not have any binders, juices, pastes, purees, or fillers. The clean and fresh salsa flavor comes from our vegetables, not from additives like sugar or vinegar. In addition, we drain all the juices from our salsa batches to maximize the solid vegetable content in each cup.
La Mexicana is based in Southern California and has regular access to the freshest tomatoes year round. Our parent company, Crowers Marketing, has been buying tomatoes daily for 50 years.
La Mexicana is the original fresh salsa manufacturer in the United States, the industry standard for nearly 25 years. La Mexicana is the first salsa company to use a transparent cup. In addition, we were the first food company (of any kind) to use tamper evident banding for customer protection.
La Mexicana operates in an organic certified facility. We pass regular health and safety inspections by USFDA, US Army, State of California, and City of Vernon. We are also HACCP certified.
